Norfolk-Victoria Rorie departed this life on Thursday; January 29, 2026. She was born March 2, 1978 in Bronx, NY to the late Vernon Sr & Lucille Rorie.

Her formative years were spent in Virginia where she attended Chesapeake Public Schools and graduated from Oscar F. Smith High School. After graduating, she worked as a Hemodialysis Technician. Victoria, also known as "Vicky", lived an exciting life, traveling up and down the coast with her partner in crime Nikia (Rorie) Moree. "Nikia and Vicky", you didn't see one without the other. As life went on, Vicky got sick and God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around her and whispered, "Come To Me." We watched her slowly fade away. Human hands toiled to save her but our prayers and tears were not in vain. For happy angels came and took her from this weary world of pain.

She was predeceased by her father, Vernon Rorie, Sr.; mother, Lucille McKoy-Rorie; two sisters: Louise Morten and Ida Rorie; and a brother, Daniel Rorie. The cover of life's book has closed for Victoria. God has taken her from this land of pain and sorrow to a land of peace and rest. With lasting memories, she is survived by: five brothers: Donnie McKoy, Vernon Rorie, Jr., James Walter Rorie, Vernon Rorie II and Thomas Rorie; four sisters: Peggy Rorie, Earlene Rorie, Vercine Rorie and Janice Rorie; a special sister/best friend (technically her niece), Nikia Rorie Moree; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Noon Friday; February 20, 2026 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1821 E. Liberty Street; Chesapeake, VA  23324.
