Norfolk- Vernon Lee Scott III entered into eternal life on April 23, 2023. He was the son of Rena Williams and Vernon Scott Jr and was born in Chesapeake Va on January 11, 2002.

Vernon had a heart of a lion. The love he had for his family and friends was powerful, beyond measure. His laughter could touch the deepest darkest souls and fill the room with the brightest lights. His spirit showered us with comfort and happiness, the amount of respect he presented before his elders and loved ones will never go unappreciated. As a child we all knew he was going to be something special, education came very easily to him as he brought home outstanding progress throughout the school years. Vernon was offered a spot in a gifted educational program, made just for him. That was only the beginning of his journey as he made his way through football, his dedication on and off the field earned him that V1 spot. Vernon would do whatever he put his mind to, and there was nothing you could do or say that'll change what he already had in motion. When it came to his siblings he would go above and beyond, he would've went to the end of the world behind them. The love they've all shared and have for each other is the reason why he was a great man and father. Vernon was a strong, loving, and compassionate person. He will be greatly missed!

He leaves to cherish precious memories, his parents: Rena Williams (Kelvin Bland) and Vernon Lee Scott Jr. (Sharetta Scott); his significant other & mother of two of his daughters, Dysha Harrison; his children: Autumn My'Angel Scott and Aubrielle Leigh Scott; seven siblings from mom: Stanley, Taysha, Marquise (deceased Sep 21, 2011), Tiffany, Tarion, Kayla and Aaliyah; nine siblings from dad: Alyshia, Hasan, Jaylen, Amiyah, Jaden, Amani, Jaekwan, Kahlil and Kaylee; nieces and nephews: Ikea, Makiah, Azzure, Kassidy, Emoni, Malaysia, Kingston, Kailani, Kenneth, Athena and Tarion Jr.; great niece and nephew, J'Mani & Jamontae; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday; May 5, 2023 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street, Chesapeake, VA. A viewing will be Thursday from 4-6 pm at Fitchett-Mann Funeral. Please continue to keep the family in your prayers.
