Tina D Couther, the daughter of Maison Jordan and the late Arteal Jordan was born on December 2, 1961 in Norfolk, VA. She gracefully embarked on her journey to eternal rest on Thursday; September 26, 2024 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Tina was predeceased by her daughter Shannon Jordan.

Tina was raised in Chesapeake and attended Chesapeake Public Schools. She graduated from Tidewater Community College with her Associates in Respiratory Therapy. She also graduated from Norfolk State University with her Bachelors of Science. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist for over 30 years and retired from Maryview Hospital Portsmouth VA.

Tina was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her kind heart and unwavering compassion for others.

She spent her life touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her warmth and generosity were evident in her dedication to family and friends, as well as her commitment to the medical field.

Tina cherished her role as a wife, daughter, sibling, mother ,grandmother and great grandmother. Her love will continue to resonate through her grandchildren Keon Pitts, Savannah Jordan, Sherrod Benns, Keauna Jordan and great grandson Sevyn Pitts.

She leaves to celebrate her life: husband, Donald Couther; four grandchildren: Keon Pitts, Savannah Jordan, Sherrod Benns and Keauna Jordan; one great grandson, Sevyn Pitts; mother, Maison Jordan; siblings: Sharon Salley, Arteal Jordan Jr., Priscilla Dunlap and Tameka Cutler (Leonard); three stepsons: Norman, Jermaine and Travis Gordon; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

We will remember her for her infectious laughter and caring spirit. Though she may be gone from our sight, Tina's love and spirit will remain forever in our hearts.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday; October 10, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church; Norfolk, VA. Viewing will be 4-6pm Wednesday; October 9, 2024 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services (Rodgers Street location). Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
