Shirley Ann Lewis transitioned to the heavens above on Monday; July 7, 2025.  She was born on June 5, 1953 in Chesapeake, VA to the late Joe Lewis and Alberta Lewis.

Shirley graduated from Indian River High School.  She accepted Christ in 1980 at First Baptist Church Crestwood where she served on the Senior Usher Board for many years.  She served faithfully and considered her usher friends her family and was very close to them.

Shirley loved playing with the family dog "Lil Rock Rock" and her pet bird "Goonie".  Her favorite pastime was to watch the westerns and "Good Times" on television.  Besides her parents, Shirley was also predeceased by brothers: Joe, William, John, Roosevelt and James.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her three devoted and loving brothers: Alvin, Lorenzo and Dewayne; sisters-in-law: Doris, Kim and Queenie; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She also leaves behing her extended "Big Brothers" such as: Bishop Rodgers, the Steptoe brothers, Marvin Lawrence, Willie Gibbs, Tom Futrell, Gene Whidbee and Bobby Lewis and family. She loved her good neighbors: Goodmans, Madisons, Kerry, Holmes, McCourtney and Haynes; her cousin, Pamela and Junior in West Virginia; and her bestfriend, Barbara Lewis.  She will be missed by her loved ones who celebrate that she is at peace and out of pain.

A funeral service will be held 10am Saturday; July 19, 2025 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street, Chesapeake VA. Viewing will be 4-6pm Friday at the Rodgers Street locaation.  Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.  Please continue to keep the family in your prayers.
