Portsmouth-Shawn Michael Kesler passed away in his Portsmouth, VA home on November 21, 2025. Shawn was born in Beckley, WV on February 18, 1975 to Deborah Ward and was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was an avid skateboarder who loved his cat, hanging out with his friends, and making music. He also worked at Michael & Son Services as an enthusiastic electrician until December of 2024.

Shawn leaves behind his mother; his sister, Jessica Guerra (Raymond); his nephew, Gavin Guerra; a dearest beloved cat, Pookah; and multiple uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is also pre-deceased by his younger sister, Jacquelyn Luther; and his stepfather, Clifford Ward.

A memorial service will be held 1pm Sunday; November 30, 2025 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street; Chesapeake; VA 23324.
