Norfolk-We bid farewell to our father, Robert Lee Wood, who departed from this world on Sunday; June 23, 2024 at the age of 66. A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, his absence leaves behind a void in our hearts.

Robert was predeceased by his two sisters, Arlene Wood and Janice Wood. He leaves behind his loving mother Mary Brown of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, Jerome Brown and David Brown; and one sister Arlethia Walton, all of Norfolk, VA.

Surviving his departure with cherished memories include all seven of his children: Robert Hunter 46, Torio Benns 45, Bianca Reese 44, Carlos Reese 53 (son-in-law) Dionta Benns 41, Robert Benns 40, Angel Benns 36 and Carolyn Benns 35; and a host of twenty-six grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday; July 2, 2024 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street; Chesapeake, VA 23324. Please keep the family in your prayers
