Chesapeake-Quashawone, D. Perry, a beloved father,son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away on Thursday; June 27, 2024. He was born November 9, 1998 and was the son of Tamiko Perkins, Shawone Perry, and Donald Carrington Sr.
Quashawone was a Beacon of Love and Joy. "Qua" had transmittable laughter and a warm smile that could enhance even on the darkest days. Hehad a special place in everyone's heart. "Quay" especially loved his family, his sons, Carterand Zy'mere; mother, Tamiko; his brothers, Towantez, Cashean, and Jahmeek; and a veryspecial person, the mother of his children, Nyah Walker, which he cared for with a passion.
Quashawone's loving mother raised him to be the man of the house. Quashawone was a PROVIDER, PROTECTOR, and a LOVING LEADER to them all. Those characteristics were instilled by his mother with kindness and respect. Quashawone was a man with dedication, passion, and joy. He was well known for being a joyous class clown with great intelligence and ambition. Quashawone will be deeply missedby his family and loved ones. His memory will leave a smiling imprint in our hearts.
Quashawone was predeceased by his grandfather, Larry Perkins; and god brother Darrel Griffin. He is survived by his mother, Tamiko Perkins; fathers, Shawone Perry and Donald Carrington Sr. (Pamela); grandmothers, Cynthia Perkins, Andrea Kennedy,and Shelly Carrington; grandfathers, Vincent Kennedy and Donald Carrington; godmother, Sabrina Butts; sons, Carter Walker and Zy'mere Walker; sisters, Demaya Keeling, Donshayla Carrington, Donnika Carrington, Tornique Harrison, and KyanaHarris; godsister La'toya Bemberry; brothers: Towantez Perry, Cashean Perry, Jahmeek Jones, and Donald Carrington Jr.; aunts: Cynthia Perkins, Rashonda Boney, Demetria Carmack (Marlow) and Quarmecia Scott (Mark Scott); uncles: MylonCarrington and Shawn Carrington; a inspirational man in his life, Gary Simmons; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held Noon Friday; July 5, 2024 at New Calvary Baptist Church; 800E. Va. Beach Blvd.; Norfolk. Please continue to keep the family in your prayers
