Norfolk-Our precious jewel, Michelle Winnifred Reid, unexpectedly departed this life on May 1, 2025 at the age of 50. She was born to Norman Anthony Reid and Patricia Ann Sumner Reid (deceased) on June 3, 1974.

Michelle was a beautiful angelic spirit who always offered her support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She was a strong woman of faith who dedicated her life to God at a young age.

Michelle was employed by QVC for over 28 yrs. She attended public schools in Norfolk and Virginia Beach and  furthered her studies at Norfolk State and Everest College, where she became a certified massage therapist and she also volunteered at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.

Michelle was a long time member of  Rock Church in Va Beach with Pastors John and Robin Blanchard, then moved her fellowship to  Forerunner Church in Elizabeth City, N.C with Pastors Matt and Rachel Harrell.

She is survived by her father Norman Anthony Reid and step-mom Wanda Blaylock- Reid; four step-brothers: Benjamin (Rachel) Blount (St. Augustine, Fla.), Cedric Blount (Jacksonville, Fla.), James Blount (Orlando, Fla.) and Everette Blount (Houston, Texas) ; a vast host of family, friends, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins,  co-workers, and a dear friend Jennifer.

A service celebrating "Michelle" will be held on Friday; May 16, 2025 at 11:00 am at New Community Temple; 3615 Tyre Neck Road; Portsmouth, VA 23703.  Viewing will be 4-6pm Thursday; May 15, 2025 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street; Chesapeake, VA  23324.  Please coninue to pray for the family.
