Obituary For Michael Ray Peay

Cheapeake- Michael Ray Peay, 67, entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2024. A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Michael was a graduate of Oscar F. Smith High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of First Church of South Norfolk.

Michael was a die-hard fan of the Pittsburg Steelers, and you could catch him wearing at least one piece of their gear any time you saw him. He had a brilliant sense of humor, and the dance floor didn’t stand a chance if his song came on. He passed his love for dancing and having fun to his daughter and his grandkids!

Despite life’s obstacles one thing was clear, Mike loved his family! We will miss him dearly but take solace in knowing that he is safe in the arms of our Lord and Savior.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Arthella Hill; his children, Domeicus Peay and Michelle Peay Locklin (Nathaniel); his grandchildren, Makayla White, Dashera Peay, Ariyanna Smith, and Justin Jarrett; his sister, Melody Peay; his brothers Kim Peay (Jackie), Andrew Hill IV (Portia), and Derrick Hill (Coffiela); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday; December 12, 2024 at First Church South Norfolk; 1605 Bainbridge Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23324.

Viewing will be Wednesday 4-6pm at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Service; 1821 Liberty St., Chesapeake, VA 23324.
