Chesapeake- On January 9, 2024, our beloved Mary Frances Richardson-Jones transitioned from this earthly world. She was born in Franklin County, North Carolina November 14, 1942 to the late Eloise Richardson-Harris and Luther Richardson Sr.

She graduated from the old Booker T. Washington High School. She worked as a private caregiver for over 40 years. She was a fun-loving person and the most generous, kindhearted individual you could ever meet. Mary loved her family and celebrating special holidays.

She was predeceased by her mother, Eloise Richardson-Harris; father, Luther Richardson Sr.; her son, Jerome Richardson; and 2 brothers: Luther Richardson and Rudy Richardson. She leaves to cherish memories; brother, Clinton Richardson (Sandra) of Clarksville Tennessee; sister, Barbara Richardson-Freeman of Norfolk VA; one special brother Eric Toatley of DC; granddaughter, Sylvia Butler of DC and three other granddaughters; one niece, Kimberly Richardson of New York; two nephews: Travis Richardson (Renita) of Clarksville, Tennessee and Sabir Al-Basir of Norfolk, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday; January 18, 2024 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers St; Chesapeake, Virginia 23324. Visitation will take place 2hrs prior to service.
