Obituary For Latasha T. Scott

Texas-Latasha Tyeshia Scott affectionately known as “Tasha” was born April 19, 1980 in Norfolk, VA.
Tasha graduated from Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, VA. She received a dual Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Administration and Accounting & Finance from American International University.
Tasha had church affiliations with McGee Chapel in Houston, Texas, First Missionary Baptist Church in
Henderson, Kentucky, and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was dedicated in serving and working
with children. She also served in the Children’s and Women’s Ministry. Latasha was a Cub Scout Leader
for Pack 73.

Tasha was like a tulip with a heart that exhibited light and love. She had a love for traveling, watching
her vegetables grow, and trying new recipes.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isa. 40:31).

Tasha was a faithful civil servant of the Federal Government for nearly 20 years, receiving multiple
awards and recognitions for her work in different agencies.

On Saturday, July 1, 2023, The God of all things called Tasha home to be free of the pain and suffering of this old world. Tasha leaves to cherish her memories the love of her life Jonathan Charles Scott(JC); Sons; Maxwell & Benjamin; Mother: Pypatchia Mitchell; Father(s): Tony Lawrence & Trent Mitchell; Sisters: Tamekia Sanders(Chris), Aaliyah Mitchell, & Breyhana Lawrence; brothers: Troy Porter & Trent Mitchell; Mother in Love: Gale Scott; Father in love: Charles Scott; Sisters in Love: Tracey McNeil, Danielle Scott, & Kelley Scott; 4 Nephews & 1 Great Nephew; 8 Nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in a multitude of states and countries. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” ( Philippians 4:7).

A funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday; July 16, 2023 at Jesus Church of Deliverance; 5246 Jones Lane; Chesapeake, VA 23320. Viewing will be 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be in St. Luke Church Cemetery; Chesapeake, VA.
