Chesapeake-It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Keith Stanley Perry, aka "Groove" laid to eternal rest on Sunday; October 19, 2025, in the comforts of his home.

Groove was born in Norfolk County, Virginia on November 11, 1953, to the late George A. Perry Sr. and the late Rachel Perry. He attended George Washington Carver, graduated from Crestwood High School, and furthered his education at ECPI, earning a degree in Computer Electronics Technology with a major in Computer Technology.

Professionally, he held various positions to include Christian radio host, Insurance Salesman, and a Certified Fiber Optics Installer, to name a few. He also held positions for companies such as Evans Produce and Lockheed Martin. He loved his Philadelphia Eagles and enjoyed reading various genres of literature, listening to music, specifically country and jazz, cooking, fast cars, and was a great conversationalist. He never met a stranger! He took pride in his luxurious curls and dressing to impress.

He is preceded in death by a brother, George A. Perry Jr and is survived by his siblings: Rachel Robinson, Larry Perry Sr, Clarastine Hall and Nina Minor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Our beloved Groove will be truly missed and never forgottens

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday; October 30, 2025 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street; Chesapeake, VA  23324.  Viewing will be 4-6pm Wednesday.  Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
