Chesapeake- Jeffrey William Williams departed this life on September 10, 2026. He was born on
November 8, 1965, in Wilson, North Carolina, to Helen Louise Ellis Williams Cousin and
John Earl Williams.

Jeffrey was a proud graduate of Granby High School, where he shined as a star football
player. He carried that same energy and joy throughout his life. He loved dancing,
joking, teaching others, and loving his family unconditionally. A devoted Steelers fan,
Jeffrey brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. He worked faithfully at Roof
Services, Corp. Until his passing and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Norfolk,
Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his mother Helen Williams, father, John Earl Williams
brothers Charlie Junior Ellis, Donald Ray Williams, and Leroy Williams, as well as his
nephew Deamond L. Williams.

Jeffrey leaves to cherish his memory his children: Jayvon Smith and Dontae Taylor
(Toné); his siblings: Shirley Ellis West, Helen Jean Williams, Millinice Williams Jordan,
and John Earl Williams Jr. (Marie); and his bonus children: Brittany Taylor, Lataja
Taylor, Ciara Taylor, Mercedes Taylor, Kadeja Taylor, and Gregory Taylor. He is also
lovingly remembered by his nieces: Nicole Dorsey, Minnie Riden, Sherry Williams,
Melody Hammond, and Tonya Williams; his nephew Glen Ellis; a host of grandchildren
and cousins; and his significant other, Rosalyn Lynette Thompson.

Jeffrey will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live
on through the people who shared his life and through the many quiet moments, simple
joys, and cherished memories he created along the way.
