CHESAPEAKE- Gloria V. Moore, age 82, of Chesapeake, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2026. Gloria was born January 21, 1944 to the late James and Minnie Taylor. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Q. Moore.

Gloria accepted Christ early in life and lived a life anchored in faith, love, and service. Gloria was a faithful member of First Baptist Church West - Munden where she was a member for over fifty years. Over her lifetime, she served the church as an usher, a member of the choir, and a member of the nurse’s unit, among other roles. She was always eager to share the love of Christ with others.

Gloria spent her career as a nurse. She enjoyed fashion, experiencing new restaurants, serving her community, and spending time with family and friends.

Gloria is survived by four sons, Barry Moore (Barbara), Aaron Moore (Audra), Darrell Moore (Andrea), and Calvin Moore (Coretha - predeceased); a sister, Sheila Morring (Jim); and a brother, James Taylor, Jr. (Susan). She is predeceased by her daughter Kimberly Moore and sister Dolores Spain (Andrew - predeceased). She leaves behind a host of grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephews, and special friend Mary Givens, along with many other close friends.
