Obituary

VA Beach- Frederick Felton Boswell was born in Steele, Missouri on July 24, 1938 and departed this life on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 10:40am quietly in his home surrounded by his love ones. He was born to his parents, Helen and Adell Boswell.

While he was young growing up in the Bootheel of Missouri, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Steele, Missouri. He graduated from Central High School in Hayti, Missouri. After graduation he later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked for AO Smith Corporation for 33 years. He also worked at Tower Automotive for three years.

Receiving a call from God to ministry he joined Harlow White Ministries and worked diligently in thevineyard for God. He was an example of Christian Leadership always helping the needy, the hungry, and the downtrodden. He never met a stranger only God's children. He was a preacher, teacher, counselor, and mentor to many.

Frederick( Fred, Tiger, Poppa) just to name a few of his nicknames was a family man. Although hisfamily was blended together, he was their father. He loved his family and used his gifts and talents to make them better. He showed then Christ-like unconditional love always. He was a big man with a big heart for all who he knew. He enjoyed reading, watching documentaries, westerns, hunting and fishing.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Helen and Adell Boswell: brothers; Joe, Howard, Allen, Sidney, and Reginald: sisters; Juanita, Clara, and Alice: daughters Freda and Frederica. He leaves to celebrate his life his loving wife of 29 years, Judy M. Boswell; children Marcia, Fred(Renee), Reggie, Tony, Talima, Shauna, Tammy(Chad), Kent, Lois(Ken), Janice(Dennis), Jackie, Lorna, Donna(Sandy); 56grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special friends: Sonny and Charlene Wilbur; Sis. Johnnie Carter.

A wake will take place on Saturday; July 27, 2024 from 2-4pm at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers St., Chesapeake, VA 23324.
