Chesapeake- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Glenn Davis, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, who departed this life peacefully at home on February 17, 2026, at the age of 73.

Doug was born in Norfolk, VA on February 4, 1953, and was the son of the late Thomas A. Davis, Jr. and Margaret Sue Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald L. Davis, Sr.

A man who lived out his faith through his daily actions, Doug was the very definition of kindness, honesty, and hard work. He lived his life with integrity, treating everyone he met with respect and compassion. Whether offering a helping hand, a steady word of advice, or a warm smile, he made those around him feel valued and supported. Doug was a devoted husband to Judy, a loving father to Kevin and Nicole, and a proud grandfather to Madison and Mackenzie.

He also found great joy on the golf course. Whether playing a competitive round or simply enjoying time with friends, he cherished every moment spent on the green. The course was one of his happy places, filled with laughter, stories, and well-earned camaraderie.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Judy; his children, Kevin Davis and Nicole Butler (Shannon); his grandchildren: Madison and Mackenzie Butler; his sisters, Linda Davis and Brenda Taylor; his brothers, Thomas Davis and Robert Davis; and a host of family members and dear friends who will miss his steady presence and loving heart.

Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort knowing that his legacy of faith, love, and integrity lives on in all who knew him.
A special thanks to his sister-in-law, Polly Byrum, whose loving care allowed Doug to remain at home surrounded by love.
