The Story of ChubbsChesapeake-On the evening of July 05, 2024, God decided that I would suffer no more. He whispered, "well done my son" and called him home.

Daris D. Lee was born on February 14, 1971 to the George Edward Lee & Ruth B. Lee-Adams. Daris better known as "CHUBBS", was raised in Chesapeake Virginia and graduated from Indian River High School (Class of 1989). He worked as a faithful FedEx delivery driver and detailed cars at the Chrysler dealership in Chesapeake. Daris was a very friendly, affectionate, and was known for his love of music and video recording. His son Antoine C. Lee is following in his footsteps as a up and coming hip-hop rapper entertainer.

Daris was preceded in death by his father, George E. Lee; his stepfather, George E. Adams; his brother, Devonne E. Adams; grandparents: George & Doris Lee and George & Mable Riddick.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his mother, Ruth B. Adams (Ronnie) of Chesapeake; his sister, Basha E. Washington (Dennis) of Portsmouth; his loving and devoted son, Antoine C. Lee and mother Jessica Joyner Lee of Virginia Beach; a faithful,loving and devoted friend, Kimberly Burwell of Providence Forge; four uncles: Larry Gaines (Margaret) of Murfreesboro, George Riddick Jr. of Chesapeake, James Lee (Irvine) of Chesapeake and Earl Lee of Chesapeake; nine aunts: Syvella Riddick of Chesapeake, Cynthia Smith (Al) of Virginia Beach, Darlene Bell of Norfolk, Rosa Wells of Maryland, Joyce Hampton of Chesapeake, Margaret White (Elmer) of Portsmouth, Patricia Rosco (Anthony) of Suffolk, Regina Walker (Ronald) of Suffolk and Betty King (Charles) of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held Noon Saturday; July 13, 2024 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street; Chesapeake, VA 23324. Viewing will be 4-6pm Friday; July 12, 2024. Burial will be 12:00 Noon Monday; July 15, 2024 in Riverside Cemetery; Norfolk, VA.
