Chesapeake- Adrian Quantae Dunbar, age 39, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia. He was born on February 26,1987, in Chesapeake, Virginia, to Bridget Ricks and Willie Halsey. He was the eldest of four children.

Adrian received his formal education through the Chesapeake Public School System and graduated from Oscar F. Smith High School. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his kind spirit and creative talent. Adrian had a deep passion for art and was a gifted tattoo artist, affectionately known as "Boogie Tattz."

Adrian was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Pearl Dunbar Finnell and Carrie Halsey; his grandfathers, William Dunbar, Raymond Peny, and Willie Joyner; his cousin, Desstin Haskins, who was like a brother; and his beloved nephew, JaMari Haskins.

Adrian leaves to cherish his memory his four sons: Tae'Quan Dunbar, Malik Dunbar, O'Mari Dunbar, and Adrian Dunbar, Jr.; his mother, Bridget Ricks (Floyd); his father, Willie Halsey (Sara); his three sisters, Dishannon, Brittney, and Canisia; his aunts, Crystal Worlds (Washington), Latisha Dunbar, Kizzy Dunbar (Troy), Michelle Chesson, Sandra Washington, Libby Broadnax, Felicia Walker, and Shena Joyner Temple; his uncles, Miquel Haskins (Nicole), Michael Halsey, and Darryle Halsey; Mydrione Halsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
